About the firm
Elite Finance Solutions was founded in Cairo in 2022 by two professionals who had spent more than two decades each in Big Four practice and in senior in-house finance leadership across the Middle East, Europe and Africa.
Why the firm exists
We kept meeting the same situation from both sides of the table. As buyers of professional services inside multinational groups, we were paying for senior expertise and receiving work done by people three years into their careers. As practitioners, we knew how much of the value in this work sits in judgement that cannot be delegated — deciding which position to take, how much documentation is enough, and when a technically correct answer is commercially unusable.
Elite Finance Solutions is built around that observation. The firm stays deliberately small. Both partners work directly on files. We take on the number of engagements we can serve properly and decline the rest, and we tell clients when a matter genuinely belongs with a larger firm or is better handled in-house.
Our clients are Egyptian businesses that have outgrown a bookkeeping relationship, the Egyptian entities of European and Gulf-headquartered groups, and individuals with cross-border tax positions that a general practitioner will not touch.
Leadership
Both partners hold senior regional finance leadership roles in multinational groups alongside the practice, and bring that current, first-hand view of how technical positions are actually tested.
Haitham has led statutory reporting and tax compliance across Europe, the Middle East, Turkey and Africa for more than fifteen years within GE and GE Vernova, where he currently serves as Regional Finance Leader. In that role he oversees a Cairo-based shared service centre covering more than 75 legal entities across some 40 countries, leading a team of approximately 60 professionals based in Cairo, Budapest, Angola and Pakistan.
He began his career at KPMG, in Egypt from 1999 to 2004 and in Saudi Arabia from 2004 to 2009, working across audit and tax before moving in-house. His technical focus is IFRS statutory reporting, transfer pricing, OECD Pillar Two readiness and Egyptian tax compliance, including the ETA e-invoicing regime.
Haitham represents his group within the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt as its finance contact, participating in conferences and government engagement on tax and economic policy, and contributing to industry positions on improving local regulation.
Mohamed is Regional Statutory & Tax Leader for the Middle East and Africa at Majid Al Futtaim, a role he has held since 2021. His career spans Big Four practice and senior in-house finance roles across several industries and jurisdictions, giving the firm unusually broad exposure to how statutory and tax obligations differ between sectors and regulators.
He trained at KPMG Egypt from 1999 to 2004 and at Deloitte Egypt from 2004 to 2008, then moved in-house through Lafarge in Algeria, Duravit AG and Palm Hills Developments, before joining GE in 2016 where he worked until 2021.
His focus within the practice is statutory reporting, group and regional tax compliance, and the finance-function questions that arise when a business operates across more than one jurisdiction.
How we operate
We give the answer we believe is right, including when it is not the one the client hoped for. Positions we cannot defend, we do not sign.
Every position we take is written down with the authority relied on, so that it can be explained by someone else long after we have left the room.
Client information stays with the two of us. We do not publish client names, engagement details or case studies without express written consent.
Fees are agreed in writing before work begins. If scope changes, we tell you before the hours are incurred, not on the invoice.
The partner who scopes your work is the partner who does it and the partner who answers the phone in three years when the file is reopened.
We refer work that sits outside our competence or capacity. A referral costs us a fee; getting it wrong costs the client far more.
Whether you need a second opinion, an annual compliance cycle or help through an inspection, the conversation starts the same way.
